Schedule Your Design Appointment

Once you’ve signed your purchase agreement, your Sales Counselor will share the Designer’s available appointment dates with you so you can select a time that works best. If you’re unable to choose a time during that conversation, a link to the scheduling calendar will be provided so you can book your appointment later.

Review the Included Features

Your Designer will share a list of included features along with available options for your home. Take a moment to review them and start imagining the possibilities for personalizing your space.

Choose Interior Selections

During your design appointment, your Design Consultant will guide you through the available selections and help bring your vision for your new home to life.

Finalize Your Selections

Shortly after your appointment, we’ll email you the details of your home selections. Please review them carefully and let us know if any changes or confirmations are needed. If a second meeting is required, your Design Consultant will schedule one, or the process can be completed conveniently through DocuSign.

Preparing for Your Design Appointment

Narrowing down your design style is an important step before meeting with your Designer. We recommend exploring different home features, fixtures, and color palettes ahead of time to help guide the process. Online tools like Pinterest, Houzz and Instagram are great for gathering inspiration and organizing your ideas, giving us helpful insight into your personal style and preferences.
At your appointment, it’s helpful to bring items that reflect your design style and preferences. We recommend bringing fabric swatches, paint chips, and inspirational images to help communicate your vision. These materials can provide valuable guidance and make it easier to choose interior selections that best match your style.
Take some time to think about the features that matter most to you and the spaces you’d like to include in your home. Would a home office be helpful? Do you have a hobby or activity that requires dedicated space—perhaps a workshop in the garage, a media room, or a quiet meditation area in a spare room? Writing down your priorities ahead of time will help ensure your new home is designed to support your lifestyle and meet your needs.
Your Designer will provide a packet outlining the available options offered by the builder. It’s important to review these choices before your design appointment so you can determine your level of interest in each item. Creating a wishlist can also be helpful in prioritizing the features and upgrades that matter most to you. Be sure to bring this list with you to your design appointment.
When selecting your design options, it’s important to strike a balance between your vision and your budget. Before your design appointment, take time to determine how much you’re comfortable allocating toward upgrades and personalized features. Your Design Consultant will work with you to bring your ideas to life while helping you stay within your budget.

FAQ

Selections must be made within two weeks of executing your purchase agreement. In some instances, however, quicker decisions may need to be made depending on the status of the construction process.
Due to the presence of potentially dangerous items, children are not allowed in the Design Studio. We kindly ask that you make childcare arrangements; this is for everyone’s safety, as well as so you can remain focused on the important decisions you’ll be making. Please keep this in mind when planning your visit.
We kindly ask that only the individuals listed on the purchase agreement and their significant other attend the design appointment. We understand that having extra people around can be enjoyable, however having multiple people in the room can cause delays and confusion as there is much to cover and time is limited. Thank you for your understanding.
Design appointments are scheduled in 3-hour blocks and may last up to three hours. While some appointments require the full time, others may be completed in as little as 1.5 hours. Being well prepared can help make the process more efficient. If needed, additional appointments can be scheduled to finalize your selections. To help us stay on schedule and accommodate all scheduled appointments, please arrive on time and come prepared.
At the time of the design appointment, no deposits are required. Upon finalizing your selections, a 70% deposit will be due within seven (7) days. Checks should be made out to Placer Title and can either be a personal check or cashier’s check. No credit cards will be accepted. A wire transfer can be arranged with the Title company upon request.
