Construction Project Manager

Raymus Homes is currently seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager / Operations Manager who is motivated, organized, communicates well, is a self-starter, and has a strong residential construction background.

START DATE: February 2025 or sooner

COMPENSATION: Salary starts at $100,000/year depending on experience. Raymus Homes also offers generous health, vision, and dental benefits, an outstanding 401(k) matching program, and bonuses.

BASIC FUNCTION: Manage, administer, and oversee the Company's single-family home construction activities including Vertical Construction, Purchasing, Quality Control/Customer Service, and Safety Programs to meet Raymus Homes' superior quality standards and customer service.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2-5 years of vertical or site construction experience with a production homebuilder.
  • High school degree or equivalent. Associates/Bachelor's degree and/or Construction Management vocational degree preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs. Experience with Microsoft Project and MarkSystems a plus.
  • Strong oral and written communication.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities including motivating teams and developing employees to their full potential.
  • Strong people skills, including the capability to handle various personalities and develop professional relationships.
  • Action-oriented, with the drive to push projects and tasks to successful closure.
  • Proven ability of being "customer-centric" by seeking solutions from the customer's perspective.
  • Flexibility to work "on-call" when needed to respond to emergency calls or other issues during off-hours.
  • Conduct business in a professional and ethical manner with potential buyers, trade partners, and coworkers to reinforce goodwill and profitability for the company.
  • Must have a clean driving record / be able to be covered by Raymus Homes Vehicle Insurance Policy.
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds.

REPORTS TO: Owners, President

PRIMARY DUTIES: Duties include, but are not limited to, the items listed below. Additional duties will be performed as assigned to accomplish the required function.

Vertical Construction:

  • Maintain timely schedules and construction of all homes.
  • Administrate and delegate construction activities with field staff and trade partners.
  • Train construction staff.
  • Work with Construction Admin and Superintendent(s) to ensure all plan revisions and changes of any kind are relayed to field staff and trade partners.
  • Work with Construction Admin on the submittal of truss calculations, energy calculations, structural calculations, and plans for master plan submittals.
  • Work with Construction Admin on master plan "plan checks" and the resubmittal and approvals.
  • Complete requirements specific to SWPPP at the state and local levels.

Purchasing:

  • Oversee estimating and purchasing.
  • Bid analysis and comparison.
  • Deliver homes on time and on budget.

Quality Control and Customer Service:

  • Oversee, manage, and delegate Customer Service activity based on Raymus quality standards.
  • Conduct bi-monthly meetings with Owners and President to review all outstanding warranty requests.
  • Oversee any warranty items the Customer Service Representative (CSR) cannot complete.
  • Oversee, manage, and delegate Quality Inspection Program in accordance with SB800.

Safety Responsibilities:

  • Manage Safety Programs.
  • Ensure safety protocols are in place during construction.
  • Organize and participate in monthly site safety inspections.
  • Maintain Fall Protection Plan and Safety Binder.
  • Schedule CPR, First Aid, and Tractor safety trainings as needed.
